SEAT 20V20 concept gets a green signal to production and will come as a rival to Land Rover in 2018
SEAT motors have made several great city cars and family models in the previous years. In March 2015 at Geneva Motor Show SEAT previewed its 20V20 concept and announced it will soon go into production. After not more than two months they have given the green signal to the 20V20 concept to go into production.
SEAT also said that the concept will go into production soon and will lead the three car SUV line-up of SEAT. Senior exterior designer, Amin Sadek said that the new four door SUV is a zero percent design driven vehicle and has a seductive design with precise lines.
He further added that the LEON will be used as a reference as it was an enormously influential SUV and SEAT will use it as a benchmark of design. Several design cues from SEAT LEON will be used in the new 20V20.
The 20V20 concept is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo SEAT Petrol Engine which is the same engine used in the LEON Cupra. An electrically controlled DSG twin clutch auto transmission controls the power.
New 20V20 concept has only four seats but every seat in the SUV offers plenty of space and features. It is full of design innovation where two large displays, one for the driver and other for the passengers. These displays showcase a variety of information.
A small metal disc named as the Personal Driver Device will likely be used as a central console display controlling rotary dial. It also has a start/stop button which goes into the driver’s pocket and can locate the car and allow the owner to configure the sat-nav remotely.
A full verdict on the configurations and specifications is not available yet.
