New facelifted Mitsubishi Outlander has finally taken its wraps off at New York Auto Show
Mitsubishi has finally introduced the 2016 Outlander facelifted at the New York Auto Show. Comparative to the 2015th edition images and teasers, the practical SUV has improved styling and refined Mitsubishi engines. It also offers a highly modified rear bumper and 18-inch alloy wheels to make it feel like a real SUV.
The cabin has been modified to achieve higher levels of refinement and comfort. A modern infotainment system has been inserted into the central console of the Outlander. Facelifted version offers new steering wheel to give a fresh look to the interior. A high quality upholstery with exclusive quality interior stitching and comfortable seats welcome passengers on board.
The new steering system gets power from an electric system to make the riding experience very smooth and sweet. An improved chassis, a redesigned suspension system, a noise-isolating windshield and denser rear door glass completes the overhaul. Most of the material used in the interior is best for noise reduction.
In the United States the new Outlander offers a choice of Mitsubishi engines; two different petrol engines. A 2.4 litre four cylinder engine cranks 166 horsepower along with 162 lb-ft of torque. The other engine option is a 3.0 litre V6; it is tested to produce 224 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque.
The most exclusive combination comes out when a new CVT transmission connects to a four cylinder engine. The 3.0 litre V6 engine is paired with a six speed automatic transmission, which controls the power from engine and transfers it to the wheels.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 is likely to arrive in showrooms very soon but Mitsubishi has not revealed any pricing details yet.
